A FRESH START

There's been several times in my life that I've felt God has granted me a "Fresh Start" - the first was when I was a young teenager, making wrong choices and then decided it was time to try again. The second was when I was a young adult, still making poor choices- until the moment I hit (what I consider) 'rock bottom' and had no where to look but up. Now I've been given another 'fresh start'... Thankfully, this time it's not because of wrong choices, but rather because of some unknown chapter that is now in front of me.

Fresh starts, new beginnings, the end of one era and the beginning of the next has always given me this feeling that something needed fixing. It's in this chapter of life, I'm learning that just because you get to start over doesn't mean that the prior experience was bad.

Living by faith means that you have the opportunity to believe in something unseen. We have the opportunity to switch our mindset, focus on the positive around us, and pour life into those who are in our path. Trust me, this is all easier said then done for me too. I often start the day with my bible study friends, or with a devotional from church, or even special prayer and worship time and I automatically feel super pumped- nothing can bring me down... and then I scroll through social media, become distracted by the WORLD we live in and thoughts become a distraction. See- it's so much easier said then done

Living by Faith, Living in Faith, Living through Faith- is HARD! However, one thing I've always believed is that good things never come easy. As long as we continue to try, continue to push forward, continue to be our best and do our best, then we are still moving towards accomplishing that solid goal of a better life.

What I'm learning right now is this- Fresh starts are opportunities for renewed faith.

Hebrews 11:1 (NIV) Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
