PLANS

Over this past month I've been meal prepping for our family. Some people meal prep so they can make healthier choices, I meal prep in order to stay away from fast food. I've also noticed significant benefits and feel like it's a task I should definitely continue. One thing I love about having meals prepared is that I don't have to come home late and wonder what food options are going to be ready or available.

It's all been pre-determined.

The simple task of meal prepping reminds me of the scripture that says God has a plan for our life. When we plan or prepare something, we do it with the intention of good will.

An interesting thought I had is this... I can meal prep for my family, spend all day and night preparing food options for them to enjoy but they have to choose to eat what's been prepared. Just because I cooked this food does not mean they are going to partake in it- they have a choice. The same way we have a choice!

God has every intention for us to live a prosperous life, he provides us with many tools and also gives us the choice to decide which path we're going follow. God's word tells us he wants us to have a future and hope, he doesn't want us to experience harm, but just as we choose what food we're going to eat, what clothes we're going to put on, or even what music we're going to listen to- we also have the choice of which directions we choose to go.

God designed the perfect plan for our life- Today we get to make the choice to follow his guidance.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
